October of course means Halloween, and while our residents aren’t that keen on tricks, they certainly like sweet treats! With this in mind, as well as their usual Sunday baking stint when they made traditional favourite, spotted dick, they also enjoyed decorating homemade cupcakes with a monstrous Halloween theme. They tasted much nicer than they looked!
We took it even further and really went to town by also decorating the house with a variety of suitably scary props. Our residents, ever game for a laugh, got into character by donning ghoulish guises from witches hats, to spiders and vampire bat wings. To complete our spooky setting we also carved a pumpkin table centrepiece. It really was a spooktacular Halloween!
