December is always a busy time of year for our residents and this year was no exception. Our Abbeyfield family have enjoyed numerous festive events throughout the month which kicked off with a trip to the Magic Mushroom restaurant in Billericay for a delicious Christmas meal. Aside from the traditional turkey we had other tempting choices available such as pan seared seabass and honey glazed lamb.

We also held our annual Christmas party, which thanks to the snowfall, looked suitably festive. Luckily it did not put off our guests and we had a great turnout of family and friends (and a cute dog!) who thoroughly enjoyed themselves, as did the residents.

Every year we are fortunate enough to have a Christmas church service conducted in the comfort of our home and as ever, we were pleased to welcome residents from our sister house in Noak Bridge, who joined us for the occasion.

Another highlight for us all, were the 30 delightful children from Greensted Infant school, who visited to sing Christmas songs for our enthralled residents. The Yellow Advertiser newspaper were even there to document the occasion. We then subsequently enjoyed a return visit to the school to watch the children perform their adorable nativity play. And of course December would not have been complete without our very own Timberlog staff and residents Christmas dinner and all the trimmings.

As 2017 draws to a close we would like to thank you all for your continued support and wish you and your families a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
